Voice channels

Drop into a voice room inside the project to talk without scheduling a call.

Alongside text channels, a project can have voice channels — always-on rooms you drop into to talk, no scheduling required. They run on LiveKit, right inside the workspace.

Join a voice room

1
Open a voice channel

Pick a voice channel in the chat sidebar. Voice channels sit next to your text channels.

2
Join the room

Enter the room to start talking. Anyone else in the channel appears as a voice participant.

3
Leave when done

Step out of the room to end your part of the conversation — the channel stays put for next time.

Voice participants and notes

While you're in a voice channel you can see who else is present as a participant. Voice channels also support voice notes, so a quick spoken update can live in the channel for teammates to catch up on.

Voice channels can be private, limited to specific participants. If you don't see the Chat tab at all, an admin may have disabled it for your project.
