Formatting your document

Headings, lists, links, images, tables, and YouTube embeds in the document editor.

The document editor is a full rich-text canvas. Everything formats as you type, so a document can hold as much structure as the work needs.

Structure your text

  • Headings — H1 through H3 to organize sections.
  • Bold and italic — emphasize inline.
  • Lists — bullet, ordered, and task (checkbox) lists.
  • Links — paste a URL to link text; Cmd/Ctrl-click a link to open it, Alt-click to edit it.

Add media and tables

  • Images — upload by paste, drop, or insert, then drag a corner to resize. The width is remembered.
  • Tables — insert a resizable table with a header row.
  • YouTube — paste a YouTube URL on its own line and it becomes an embedded player.

You can also @mention teammates and dictate text by voice right in the editor. See mentions and dictation.
