Track signing and the audit trail
Follow each signer's status and keep a complete audit trail of a signed document.
Once a document is out for signature, you can see exactly where it stands — who has viewed it, who has signed, and who still needs to — with a full record of every event.
Signer statuses
Each signer moves through a sequence of statuses as the document progresses:
- Draft — the request is still being set up.
- Pending — waiting their turn in the signing order.
- Sent — the request has gone out to them.
- Viewed — they've opened the document.
- Signed — they've completed their fields.
- Declined — they chose not to sign.
Timestamps are captured for when each request was sent, viewed, and signed.
The audit trail and the signed document
Every event in the process is recorded in the document's audit trail — each entry with the signer's email and a timestamp — so you have a defensible record of what happened and when.
When signing is complete, the finished document is stored with the project alongside its audit trail, keeping the approval attached to the work it belongs to.
