Publish a public link

Turn a document, recording, file, sheet, or sketch into an unlisted read-only page.

You can publish certain items as an unlisted, read-only public page — a way to share work with someone outside the project without handing over the whole workspace.

What you can publish

  • Documents — a rich document from the Documents editor.
  • Recordings — a screen or camera recording.
  • Files and folders — a single file or a whole folder.
  • Sheets — a spreadsheet, read-only.
  • Sketches — a whiteboard canvas.

Publish and share

1
Publish

Open the item's publish controls and turn on publishing. Progress generates a public link and marks the item with a "published" indicator.

2
Copy the link

Copy the link and send it to whoever needs it. The page is read-only.

3
Unpublish anytime

Turn publishing off to revoke the link whenever you like.

Public pages are unlisted — reachable only by the link — and set to noindex, so search engines won't list them. Still, anyone with the link can view the page, so share it carefully. Add a password for an extra gate.
