Public links & privacy

Published links are unlisted and noindex, and you can unpublish anytime.

Progress lets you publish a document, recording, file, folder, sheet, or whiteboard as a read-only public link. These links are built to share the one thing you meant to share — nothing more.

Unlisted and not indexed

Published pages are unlisted (reachable only by the link) and marked noindex, so search engines won't list them. Anyone with the link can view, but the rest of your workspace stays private.

Link previews reveal only limited preview information, not the contents of your project.

You stay in control

  • Unpublish anytime — turn a link off and the public page stops working.
  • Password protection — optionally require a password to open a published page.

Treat a published link like a shared key: anyone who has it can open the page while it's published. Unpublish when you're done sharing.
