Siri Shortcuts

Drive Scout and add tasks by voice through Siri using a personal API token.

Talk to Scout, your AI assistant, without opening the app. With a personal API token and Siri Shortcuts, you can add a card or ask Scout to do something by voice.

Set it up

1
Create a personal API token

In Settings, create a personal access token and copy it — you only see it once.

2
Build a Shortcut

In Apple's Shortcuts app, create a shortcut that sends your request to Progress, using the token to authenticate.

3
Say it to Siri

Trigger the shortcut with your voice — for example, to quick-add a task or ask Scout to take an action on your behalf.

What Scout can do by voice

Scout is project-aware: it reads your board, notes, and cards, and it can create cards, add checklist items, log notes, and more. Ask in plain language and it resolves what you mean.

Treat your token like a password

Your personal API token is the credential that lets Siri act as you. Keep it private, and revoke it from Settings if it's ever exposed.
