What is milestone?

A milestone is a significant checkpoint in a project — a launch, an approval, the end of a phase — marked by a date rather than a span of work. Milestones help a team see whether the project is on track against its most important moments.

In Progress, milestones can live on the project's calendar as key dates, with the board showing the tasks that need to be done to reach each one.
